Sefton Metropolitan Borough ‘Bowling Pavillion’
This latest project undertaken for Sefton Metropolitan Borough involved the manufacture, supply, and installation of a building which would serve as a ‘Bowling Pavillion’ located in Moorside Park, Crosby, Liverpool.
The structure measured 15.4 metres long x 4.9 metres wide by 3.8 metres to the pitch of the roof Their previous building had been destroyed by fire, and the local authority / the local bowling club were looking for a structure which would be in keeping with the surroundings in the park and most importantly offer considerable resistance to theft, vandal, and arson attack.
Some 2 years previously, we had produced two ‘Ranger’ cabins delivered to local parks which once again were based on a resistant steel shell decoratively covered in a fire resistant wooden cladding. (For your guidance a copy of our circular is enclosed)
Internally, the unit is fully insulated including the floor in accordance with building regulations and lined with hardwearing melamine faced Wall and ceiling board set in decorative trim.
This particular unit incorporates a large plan open area to accommodate a snooker table and also to act as a function area. Also included is a ladies / disabled toilet area and a kitchen area.
All external doors and windows have heavy duty secondary steel doors and window shutters which have been clad both sides so whether they be in the open or closed positions they do not spoil the overall appearance of the unit.
The main double entrance door, internal double opening vestibule door, all windows are PVCu framed and double glazed.
The roof is pitched and covered in steel decorative roof tiles once again complimenting the overall appearance of the unit.
